John Stramel

Obituary



John Bernard Stramel, age 74 of Hays, Kansas passed away Sunday March 22, 2020, in Hays. He was born July 28, 1945 in WaKeeney, Kansas to Rudy and Matilda (Wessel) Stramel. On May 30, 1969 he married Linda Marie (Riggs).

John had worked as a millwright building feedmills and grain elevators. He was a US Army Veteran serving in Vietnam in 1967-1968. He said many times the country home he tended wasnt his, it all belongs to the Lord, he was just tending it. Psalms 23 or John 14 were his favorite bible verses.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; a sister Mary (Delbert) Stefan, Cimarron, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Cliff, Jim and Bill, and a nephew, Scott.

Cremation was chosen and his wishes were to have no services. Arrangements in care of Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.
