Beverly Combs

Obituary

Beverly Joan Combs passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020 peacefully at Via Christi Village - Hays at the age of 85 years. She was born November 24, 1934 in Burlington, KS to the late Loren and Wilma (Giesy) Garrett.

After working for the Federal Government for 30 years she retired. She then went to college and received her Masters Degree in Social Work from Kansas University (Rock Chalk). She then went on to be a Social Worker for many years. Bev was devoted to her 4 children Randy, Todd, Kim, and Kristy. She was a loving Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Bev loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She especially loved when her grandchildren came to stay for the summer each year. She was adamant that we all attend swimming lessons just in case she ever ended up in a body of water bigger than a bathtub.

She was preceded in death by two sons Randy Combs, Todd Combs.

She will be sorely missed and survived by her sister Sherri OKeefe, son Kim Combs and daughter Kristy Reincke, grandchildren: Casey Richardson, Kellie Stanley, Brooklyn Stephens, Dustin Combs, great grandchildren: Madison, Colton, Teagan, Jackson, Kobe, Laytin, Kole, Bella, and Emmie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to The Alzheimers Association or the donors favorite charity.

Graveside services in Burlington, KS will occur at a later date.

Arrangements in care of Brocks-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.
