Wayne Skubal

Wayne Ray Skubal, 57, died Tuesday, June 8th at Via Christie Hospital in Wichita, KS. Wayne was born June 27, 1952 in Hays, KS to Raymond A. and Juanita P. (Moore) Skubal. He attended schools in Marysville, CA and Ellis, KS. After high school he attended FHSU to pursue a nursing career. He was a self-employed painter until his medical condition forced him to quit. Survivors include his son, Daniel Skubal of Scottsbluff, NE and a grandson, Joshua Kraich of Olathe, KS. He was preceded in death by his father Raymond on Nov. 17, 1965 and his Mother, Juanita on February 18, 2005, his paternal grandparents, Rudolph and Nettie (Petrocek) Skubal and maternal grandparents, Robert K. and Edna (Higgins) Moore. Services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 12th at Keithly Funeral Chapel , 400 E. 17th in Ellis, burial in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday evening and from 12:30 until time of service on Saturday at Keithly Funeral Chapel, 400 E 17th, Ellis, KS. Memorials are suggested in his name to purchase playground equipment for one of the Ellis parks or the American Diabetes Assn. in care of the funeral home.
