Walt Briggs, 75, of Hays, Kansas passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, at HaysMed - Hays.

Walt enjoyed going to garage sales and buying and selling items. He wasn't afraid of trying new recipes while cooking in his kitchen. He also enjoyed listening to all the music he grew up with on YouTube.

Walt is survived by his wife, Mary, daughters: Danielle (Bob) Wagoner of Kansas City, and Jenifer (Larry) Adelhardt of Hutchinson. Grandchildren: Savannah Adelhardt, Rebecca Adelhardt, Braxton Adelhardt, and Paisley Wagoner.

A celebration of Walt's life will be held at a later date.

Cremation under the direction of Keithley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Brock's Chapel 2509 Vine Street Hays, Kansas 67601.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to: First Call for Help of Ellis County - Meals on Wheels program in care of the funeral chapel.
