Virginia Wolf

Virginia M. Wolf, age 81 of Ellis, passed away Monday, June 28th at the Ellis Good Samaritan Center. She was born on August 30, 1928 in Parsons, Kansas to George P. and Irene P. (Hancock) Walton. She married Joseph "Jack" Wolf on December 24, 1949 at the Methodist Parsonage in Ellis. Jack preceded Virginia in death on December 1, 2008. Virginia worked for the Fuller Brothers Drug Store in Ellis and then as a Dental Assistant with Dr. Brown also in Ellis. She was a member of the Ellis United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She also played in the bell choir and sang in the church choir for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, bird watching, going on gambling trips, and playing bingo. She is survived by two sons, Danny Wolf and wife Monta of Great Bend and Jack Wolf and wife Andrea of Ellis; a daughter, Gail Eberle and husband Mel of Oakley; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack, her parents, and a sister, Marlene King. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 2nd at the Ellis United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening and from 9:00 A.M. until time of service on Friday all at the church. Arrangements in care of Keithley Funeral Chapel, 400 E 17th, Ellis, KS.
