Thomas "T-Bone" Bollig

Thomas Lee "T-Bone" Bollig, age 61, of Hays and Ahmadi, Kuwait, passed away Tuesday, October 5th at Menorah Medical Center in Overland, Park, Kansas. He was born on May 17, 1949 in Hays, Kansas to Robert J. "Cap" and Mildred Louise "Millie" (Dreiling) Bollig. He graduated in 1967 from St. Joseph's Military Academy.He worked for Halliburton from 1975 - 1995. He opened and operated T-Bones Sports Bar & Grill in 1999 - 2001. After selling T-Bones he went back to Kuwait in 2005 working for the Kuwait Oil Company currently serving as the Regional Supervisor for Oil Operations. Tom's first love was when he could be with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed music and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hays.He is survived by a son, Justin Bollig of Hays; three daughters, Amy Marsh (Troy) of Denver, Melissa Morgan (Russel) of Kansas City, Kansas and Amber Kentz (Lichem) of San Diego; two brothers, Michael Bollig of Ft. Lauderdale and Rick Bollig (Jackie) of Hays; a sister-in-law, Connie Bollig of Hays; 7 grandchildren, 3 nieces and 3 nephews.His parents and a brother, Robert J. "Bobo" Bollig Jr, preceded him in death.Services will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Friday, October 8th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Thursday and from noon - 2:00 P.M. on Friday all at Brock's North Hill Chapel ~ 2509 Vine ~ Hays, KS. 67601. A parish wake service will be Thursday at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.Memorials are suggested to Menorah Medical Center ICU and Cancer Center, Overland Park or the American Cancer Society.
