Thomas Robinson

Thomas Lynn Robinson, age 68 of Ellis, died, Friday, August 7, 2009 at the Hays Medical Center. He was born on July 27, 1941 in Fairbury, Nebraska to Thomas William and Eva Ann (Lewis) Robinson Tom had worked various jobs including his own company, which did Van Conversions to become handicap accessible. He served on numerous boards including SKIL, Kansas Legal Services, W.K.A.C.D., Ellis Housing Authority, Hays Housing Authority, Americore Vista worker, Model Railroad Association. Railroading was a true passion of Tom's. He is survived by his partner, Phyllis A. Riedel of Ellis; two sisters, Linda Orth and husband Gale of Gilbert, Arizona and Alyce Sommers and husband Ron of Lincoln, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration Gathering will be held at the Hays VFW on August 22, 2009 from 10:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. Cremation has taken place and a private inurnment will be at a later date. Arrangements in care of Keithley Funeral Chapel 400 E. 17th, Ellis. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Ellis Public Library, SKIL Resource Center of Hays or Kansas Legal Services and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
