Thomas A. Askew

Thomas A. Askew, age 73, of Utica, Kansas passed away December 14, 2025 at HaysMed. He was born December 11, 1952 in Greeley, Colorado to Bill Jim and Shirley Marie (Stencel) Askew.

Thomas had worked as a security guard for Homeland Security with assignments throughout the United States as a traveling agent. He was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and guns. He was a proud US Army veteran. He enjoyed peaches and would buy peach cobbler just for the pleasure of smelling and then give to his family because of health reasons he could not eat it. Thomas was a proud family man.

Survivors include his son, Russell (Amanda) Askew of Ransom and their children, Makayla, Peighton, Kendall and Autumn; a daughter, Aimee Askew of Asheboro, North Carolina and her children, Scotty, Logan and River; a sister, Kathy Johnson of Canon City, Colorado as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Kathy (Edgerton) Askew.
