Therese Morgan

Therese M Morgan, age 71, of Hays, KS, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at her home, on the love of her life, Lonnie's birthday. She was born March 25, 1954 in Russell, KS to George M and Mary Eileen (Martell) Klaus.

She grew up in Hays, KS and graduated from Marian High School in 1972 then attended Fort Hays State University.

She married Lonnie Friend Morgan on May 8, 1982. He preceded her in death.

Her family includes her sons, Steven (Jolene) Morgan of LaCrosse, Heath (Michelle) Morgan of LaCrosse, Brothers Ken (Bev) Klaus of Wichita, Glenn Klaus of Hays, and Greg (Sharon) Klaus of Sublette; Sisters Cindy (Jay) Schröter of LaCrosse and Gwen (Harold) Honas of Ellis; three grandchildren: Taylor (Zach) Stejskal of Timken, Hunter (Madison) Morgan of Hays, and Madison Morgan of LaCrosse; 1 great-granddaughter Elsie Stejskal, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws Friend and Velma Morgan, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Graveside services will be held September 6th at 10:30 at Alexander Cemetery, Alexander, KS with lunch to follow in LaCrosse.

Memorials are suggested to: Ellis County Cancer Council, Hays Humane Society, The Leopard Project in care of the funeral home. Please make checks out to the organization.
