Stanley Wellbrock

Stanley Wellbrock, age 79, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri passed away August 21, 2024, at his home. Cremation has taken place at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Missouri as requested by the family.

Stanley was born April 25, 1945, in Hays, Kansas, to Clarence “Pete” and Leona (Kuhn) Wellbrock. He was united in marriage to Barbara Jean “BJ” (Mohr) on July 3, 1969. Stanley graduated from Victoria High School in 1963.

Stanley worked for Koch Services Inc. for several years. After Koch, Stan drove for Wal-Mart for 20 years before retiring.

Stan enjoyed being outdoors more than anything else. Some of Stanley’s most important memories of his younger years were of hunting the local areas with his dad. Boating on his Cruiser at the Lake of the Ozarks was one of his most favorite past times with his wife, BJ whom he loved dearly.

In his mid to later years, Stan would hold in high regard his many talks with his brothers, other family members, friends, co-workers, and neighbors.

Stan is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean “BJ”, of the home; his two brothers, Neil Wellbrock and wife, Pam of Victoria, KS; Rick Wellbrock and wife, Dee, of Hays, KS; several brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Leona; and one nephew, Jared Wellbrock.

A Celebration of Life Reception will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 1:00 till 4:00 P.M. at the Victoria V.F.W., 204 East Main Street, Victoria Kansas.
