Sally Smith

Marcella M. "Sally" Smith, age 91, of Hays, passed away Monday, February 15th at St. John's Assisted Living in Hays. She was born June 7, 1918 in Hays, Kansas to Florian and Mary (Dreiling) Glassman. She was a graduate of Girls Catholic High in Hays. She married Ted Smith on October 21, 1941 in Hays. He preceded her in death on November 10, 2000.Sally was a recognized top sales clerk throughout the JC Penny organization working with them for forty plus years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Perpetual Eucharist Adorers.She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters.Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.Visitation will be on Tuesday 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday 9:00 A.M. - 9:30 A.M. all at Brock's North Hill Chapel Funeral Home 2509 Vine, Hays.There will be an Adorers rosary at 5:00 P.M. and a parish vigil service at 6:30 P.M. all Tuesday at the funeral home.
