Obituary



Ronald Evan Smith (Ron), of Catharine, Kansas, passed away on July 10, 2022, at home. He was born February 21, 1951, in Hays, Kansas to Carroll Smith and Eva (Claycamp) Smith. Ron had been in ill health.

He was a United States Army Veteran, a Vietnam Era soldier who served in the Infantry. Throughout his life he held several positions throughout the US, most recently with Countryside Homes in Hays, Kansas.

He is survived by his brother, Stanley L. Smith of Topeka, Kansas, and a sister, Kathleen Luttrell of Centennial, Colorado. He was preceded in death by both parents and a sister, Maxine Cain.

Interment will be at Kansas Veterans Cemetery in WaKeeney, Kansas; date and time has not been established.
