Rodney Hamburg

Rodney J. Hamburg, age 74 of Ellis, KS died Sunday, April 21, 2024 at RedBud Village - Plainville.  

Rodney was a rancher and lived on his farm in Trego County and was known as a great steward of the land.  He was a 1967 graduate of Ellis High School where he lettered in wrestling.  He enjoyed hard work and spending time with his friends.  A hobby of his was leatherworking.

He is survived by his sister: Opal Flinn of Hays and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents:  Fred and Lydia (Shaus) Hamburg; a brother: James Hamburg; and a sister: Kathleen Bouge.

Cremation is under the direction of Keithley Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2509 Vine Street Hays, KS 67601.  

A memorial gathering will take place Saturday, June 22, 2024 starting at 4:30 PM  at his homestead.
