Obituary



Robert David "Bobby" Harrell Jr., age 43, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, the result of an automobile accident in McPherson County. Bobby was born March 13, 1979, in Hays, Kansas to Shelly Stegman and Robert Harrell Sr.

On March 20, 2021, he married the love of his life, Tessa Kester in Kansas City. Bobby was a Nationally Certified Mobile Ophthalmic Technician working for Institutional Eye Care LLC. He graduated from Hays High in 1997 and while a Junior at Hays High in 1996 he joined the US Army Reserves serving with the 388th Medical Battalion.

Robert loved spending time with family, fishing, watching football and playing video games. Robert was a proud father to Madison, Alyssa & Bethany. Robert was an amazing husband, father, brother, son, and friend. He was the most loving and devoted father and family man. He had a contagious laugh that was loved by so many. He was witty and always knew how to put a smile on someone's face.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Tessa Harrell of Kansas City; daughters, Madison Harrell, Alyssa Harvey, and Bethany Harvey all of Kansas City; parents, Shelly (Stegman) Harrell of Hays and Robert Harrell Sr. of Wichita KS; sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer Harrell and Jesse Denning of Hays, and a brother, Jared Harrell of Russell, KS.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gwen Denning and Lloyd Harrell; maternal grandparents, Elsie Stegman and Felix Stegman.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM on May 23, 2022, at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.
