Ralph Bieker

Ralph L. Bieker, age 82, of Ellis, passed away on Thursday, July 22nd at Hays Medical Center. He was born on May 22, 1928 in Ellis, KS. to William and Rosina (Denning) Bieker. He married Pat (Keagy) on September 5, 1953 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis. Ralph retired form the City of Ellis after 30 years of service. After retiring from the city he worked at Spruce Villa Apartments for 15 years doing outside maintenance. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Korea and Japan. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, AARP and a lifetime member of the Ellis VFW. He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Ellis; two daughters, Linda Kay Feldt and husband Bob of Augusta, KS. and Becky Luck and husband Dennis of Manhattan, KS.; two sons, Mark Bieker and wife Theresa of Walton, KY., Mike Bieker and friend Roseann Lindsey of Wichita, KS.; a sister, Jean Dechant of Hays, KS.; five granddaughters, Jennifer Sullivan and husband Brian of Wichita, KS. Erika Feldt of Augusta, KS. Heather and Holly Luck of Manhattan, KS. and Katie Bieker of Walton, KY; three great grandsons, Ethan Montano of Augusta, KS. Aeden Bieker of Walton, KY. and Jayden Luck of Manhattan, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery with military honors by Ft. Riley Visitation will be from 5 pm - 8 pm on Sunday and 9 am - 9:30 am Monday all at Keithley Funeral Chapel, 400 E 17th, Ellis, KS. A parish vigil service will be at 6:30 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
