Phillip Allen

Phillip Allen, 60, of Hays, KS died April 2, 2009 at Hays Medical Center. Phil was born May 28, 1948 to Gerald Allen and Hedwig (Leikam) Allen. He spent the majority of his years in Hays, working in the oil fields. An avid outdoorsman and valued friend, Phil enjoyed fishing, hunting, throwing darts and sharing stories over a cold beer. Phil is survived by his first wife, Mary Elizabeth (Parker) Allen, and their son Corey. His second wife, Deborah (Huser) Allen, and their daughters Ashley and Sharity also mourn his loss. Other remaining relatives include: his mother and his siblings Stanley Allen, Rosalee (Allen) Mewhinney, Jackie (Allen) Hertel, and Robert Allen, as well as many nieces and nephews, and his companion, Theresa Hodnett. A memorial service will be held at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays on Monday, April 6th at 1pm with the family available from noon to 1pm. An informal gathering will follow the memorial at Club Three. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in his name to the Smokey Hill Chapter #424 of Pheasants Forever.
