Pauline Younker

Pauline Younker, age 100, of Munjor, Kansas, passed away August 28, 2025, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.

Pauline was born on the family farm in Park, Kansas, August 23, 1925, to Ben Zimmerman and Mary (Wildeman) Zimmerman. She married Frank Younker on February 10, 1948, in Park, Kansas.

She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi and St. Francis of Assisi Christian Mothers in Munjor, Kansas. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, doing word searches, and mostly praying for her family. Pauline never had a harsh word to anyone and was always kind and caring.

Pauline is survived by her son, Darold (Evelyn) Younker, Munjor, KS; grandsons Darold Younker, Jr., Munjor, KS; granddaughters Dawn(Jerry) Paul, Hays, KS; Heather (Kahl) Schneider, Adair, IA;; great grandsons, Matthew Younker, Quynton Younker, Treyton Schneider, Daunte Younker; Brexton Schneider, Darius Paul; great granddaughters Paxton Schneider, Danevaeh Younker; brothers Ralph Zimmerman and Joe Zimmerman; sister, Angie Hausheer; son in law Myron Schlegel, grandson Ken Schlegel and granddaughter Lisa Schlegel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, her parents; daughter, Carol Schlegel; brothers, John Zimmerman, Leo Zimmerman, Pete Zimmerman; sisters, Genevieve Stefan, Alberta Walt; sisters-in-law Helen Zimmerman, Clara Zimmerman; and Cecelia Zimmerman; brothers in law Al Walt; Myron Hausheer, and Marcus Stefan.

Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 883 Moscow Street Munjor, Kansas 67601. Viewing and Visitation will be Friday, September 5, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with Christian Mothers Rosary at 6:30 and parish vigil following; and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until service time all at the church. Interment will follow the funeral services in the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery - Munjor.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to: Masses and/or Munjor Christian Mothers in care of the funeral chapel.
