Orlinda Werth

Orlinda A. Werth, age 88, of Hays, Passed away Sunday, July 25th at Hays Medical Center.She was born February 3, 1922 on a farm in Schoenchen to John A. and Rose M. (Stoecklein) Werth. She attended Sisters of St. Joseph Grade School and Rural High School in Schoenchen.She was employed at the Boeing Company in Wichita, KS for 25 years. She was an extra ordinary minister at St. Anthony Church and took communion to the home bound after the communion service under the guidance of Father Paulinus Karlin for 10 years. Orlinda was involved with many mission projects for about 30 years. She is a member of the Schoenchen Alter Society. In 2002, she moved to Hays and became a member of St. Joseph Church. On March 19, 2000, she made her profession in Secular Franciscan Order. Survivors include two sisters, Richarda Werth and Yvonne Werth both of Hays and a brother Allen Werth of Louisville, Kentucky.Orlinda is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Edwin and a sister, Hubertine. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hays. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery in Schoenchen. Visitation will be Tuesday 5 - 8 PM and Wednesday 9 A.M. - 9:30 A.M. all at Brock's North Hill Chapel 2509 Vine in Hays. There will be a Secular Franciscan Wake Service and Rosary Tuesday at 5:00 P.M. A St. Anthony Altar Society Rosary Service will be Tuesday at 6 P.M. followed by a Parish Wake Service at 6:30 P.M. all at the funeral home.Memorials are suggested to donor's choice in memory of Orlinda.
