Michael Riley

Michael Riley, age 67 of Brewster, Kansas passed away Monday, February 2, 2026 from lung cancer at Citizens Medical Center in Colby, Kansas. He was born February 18, 1958 in Goodland, Kansas to Harold Ray and Nadine (Moore) Riley.

He battled throat cancer several years before and was granted additional time. He was strong and kept a sense of humor all the way through. There’s never enough time, but everyone who knows him best has appreciated what precious time he was given.

He was preceded in death by “the love of his life” Victoria Riley, his mother Lola Riley and his brothers Max Riley and Curtis Wiley.

Mike passed the time by creating beautiful pieces of oak furniture, playing guitar like a rock star, listening to music, tending to the flowers and spending time with friends and family.

Survivors include his daughter, Autumn Huber; granddaughters, Amarissa and Gracie Ara Smith; and great granddaughter, Lillian “the Great” Weed; as well as several nieces, cousins and in-laws.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral as this was his wish.
