Matthew Brady Simmons

Matthew Brady Simmons, age 47, of Olathe, Kansas passed away July 29, 2026. Matthew was born September 4, 1978 in Olathe to Dale Eugene and Anne Marie (Trupp) Simmons.

Matthew has been a lifelong Olathe, Kansas resident graduating from Olathe North High School in 1997 where he participated in soccer and golf. On June 13, 2015 he married Darleta J. Sims in Olathe. He worked as a Branch Manager for a highway construction supplier. Matthew enjoyed everything to do with racing, whether it was watching his nephew at the dirt track every week, or going to any NASCAR race he could. He enjoyed motorcycle rides, playing golf, and attending concerts in his spare time. Matthew will be remembered for his infectious smile and the ability to light up a room as the life of the party.

He is survived by his wife, Darleta; his parents, Dale and Anne; a daughter, Kaitlin Simmons all of Olathe; two brothers, Josh Simmons and wife Carlie of Olathe and Andrew Simmons and wife Jingwen of Denver; as well as nephew and nieces, Jackson, Lailah and Hailey.

A Celebration of Matthew's life will be planned at a later date.
