Obituary



Marion "Pete" McAfee, age 86, of Hays, Kansas passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022 in Hays. He was born February 5, 1936 in Hays to Troy and Marie (Vanhole) McAfee.

Pete had worked as a mechanic with R.C. Williams and High Plains Grain Company as well as farmed for Charlie Brull. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and was a US Army Veteran.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, , Remi, Troy Jr "Bud", Millard, and Charles McAfee and two sisters, Mary Eakins and Diane "Diny" McAfee.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at the Via Christi Chapel in Hays. A rosary service will be at 1:30 PM.

Burial will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery in Hays with Military Honors courtesy of the Hays VFW Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
