Lucille E. Werth

Lucille E. Werth, age 88 of Hays, died Wednesday, February 4, at St. John's Rest Home in Victoria. She was born on October 29, 1920 on a farm near Emmeram, Kansas to Jacob and Elizabeth (Miller) Wasinger. She married Harry J. Werth on September 10, 1946 in Hays. He preceded her in death. Lucille attended grade school in Emmeram and graduated from Girls CatholicHigh School in Hays. She worked as an LPN at St. Anthony's Hospital in Hays and St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hays. She is survived by a son, James Werth and wife Elaine of Grand Island, NE.; a daughter, Kathy Powers and husband Ron of Littleton, CO., three granddaughters, Nicole Werth of Chicago, IL., Jacqueline Powers of Littleton, CO., Nichelle Werth of Verona, NJ., a grandson, Zachary Powers of Littleton, CO., a brother, Felix Wasinger of Hutchinson, KS. and a sister Ludwina Meiers of Wichita, KS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry in 2004 as well as by three sisters and two brothers.
