Lois Ann Gaschler

Lois Ann Gaschler, age 79, of Ellis died Thursday, May 28th, 2009 at St. John's Rest Home in Hays. She was born on March 29, 1930 in Hays, Kansas to Ralph and Anna (Lishen) Gugler. She graduated from Ellis High School in 1948. She married Clarence Gaschler on December 3, 1950 in Ellis, Kansas. He preceded her in death on February 13, 1991. Lois was a retired Librarian having worked at the Ellis Public Library for twenty-two years retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Ellis United Methodist Church, P.E.O. Chapter FO, United Methodist Women and a past church choir member.She is survived by two sons, Galen Gaschler, Mike and Cindy Gaschler all of Ellis, two daughters, Cappy Gaschler and Phil Martin, Roseann and Dan Cline all of Ellis, a brother, Loren and Phyllis Gugler of Ellis, a sister, Linda Headstream of Centennial, Colorado, six grandchildren, Chris and Tricia Cline of Ellis, Curtis and Manda Cline of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Ryan and Adrienne Gaschler, Eva, Eric and Ethan Gaschler all of Ellis. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Harold Gugler and a granddaughter, Stacey Gaschler. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 1st at the Ellis United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Ellis. Visitation will be on Sunday 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at Keithley Funeral Chapel, 400 E. 17th, Ellis. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Ellis United Methodist Church or the Ellis Public Library.
