Obituary



Linda Mae Fisher, age 71, of Hays, Kansas passed away Monday, October 17, 2022 in Hays. She was born October 31, 1950 in Hays to Mike U. and Georgine (Wasinger) Sander.

Linda graduated from Hays High in 1971 and on May 5, 1973 she married Francis J. Fisher Jr. Linda had worked at McDonalds for 39 years primarily as a Crew Trainer. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.

Linda loved people and enjoyed decorating especially for the holidays. She enjoyed spending time with family cooking meals, spoiling them whenever she could and talking on the phone with them whenever she could. She liked westerns and crime shows, Elvis and keeping her house nice and tidy. Linda always made everyone feel special.

She is survived by her husband, Francis of Hays; two sons, Sean Fisher and wife Renee of Hays and Cory Fisher of Colorado Springs; a daughter, Danielle Fisher of Hays; three brothers, Marvin, Larry (Rhonda) and Mike Sander all of Hays; Two sisters, Darlene Johnson and husband Bill of Berthoud, Colorado and Debra Kuhn of Hays; five grandchildren, Nick Fisher, Esperanza Palmer, Sofia Palmer, Jacob Fisher and Levi Fisher; a great grandson, Mateo Schmidt; mother-in-law, Josephine Fisher; her in-laws, Gerald Fisher (Brenda), Kenneth Fisher (Jodie), Mark Fisher (Melanie), Patricia Arias, Cynthia Lang (Floyd), Pamela McCormack, Wanda Staab (Lee), Sheila Goodwin (Jim), Laura Smull and Donna Cape (Alex).

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Nathan Fisher; a sister, Norma Thompson and her husband Bill, a brother, Melvin Sander; father-in-law, Francis Fisher Sr.; a sister-in-law, Donna Sander, and two brothers-in-law, Rick Kuhn and Jim Arias.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, October 22 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Hays. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hays.

Visitation will be Friday 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.

A combined rosary and parish vigil service will be 7:00 PM Friday at the funeral chapel.

Memorial contributions are suggested to be used according to the wishes of the family and designated at a later date. Donations may be made payable to Francis Fisher
