Larry J. Leiker

Larry J. Leiker age 80, of Munjor, Kansas, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.

He was born August 27, 1945, at Hays, Kansas, to Hilarius and Bridget (Jacobs) Leiker. He married Donna (Urban) on May 6, 1972, at Hays, Kansas. She preceded him in death on March 23, 2024.

He worked in the oil field for over 50 years as an engineer of oil well acidization and retired from Kansas Acid. He was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Munjor, Kansas, and a graduate of Saint Joseph Military Academy. Larry was an avid fan of KU Basketball, Chiefs, and enjoyed watching westerns.

Larry is survived by his children, Clint Leiker and wife, Amy, Munjor, KS; Mandy Leiker, Munjor, KS; his granddaughters, Katelynn, Kyleigh, Kathleen and Klara Leiker; his sister, Laverna Samuelson and husband, Sam, Dodgeville, WI; his sister-in-law, Marilyn Richmeier and husband, Leon, Hays, KS; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilarius and Bridget Leiker; his wife, Donna; his brothers and sisters, Gilbert Leiker; Agnes Pfannenstiel; Viola Burns; Delores Hoffman; Robert Leiker; Francis Leiker; Charlie Leiker; and Richard Leiker.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Munjor, Kansas, with Celebrant, Father Damian Richards. The burial will be in Saint Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Munjor, Kansas.

A vigil service and rosary will be held at 6:30 P.M. Wednesday, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays and from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Thursday, at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Munjor, Kansas.
