Obituary



Junior Arthur Miller, best known as 'JR', born April 15th, 1937, in Glen Allen, Missouri, died February 4th, 2022, in Munjor, Kansas. He was number 6 of 11 children.

Junior married the love of his life, Velma 'Ruth' Cornelison, December 10th, 1955, in Desoto County, Mississippi. JR is survived by his children, Richard (Elaine), Angela Smitherman, Lisa Barnes (Randy), and Ronald. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, and his daughter Mickie.

Junior served proudly in the United States Army. He was a machinist most of his life. JR will be best known for performing in various venues playing his guitar, he was a great bluegrass and country-western singer.

He will be buried next to Ruth at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park in Norco, California at a future date.
