John Ross Boos, age 38, of LaCrosse, Kansas passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022 in LaCrosse. He was born December 8, 1983 in Oakley, Kansas to Bernard "Barney" and Sheila (Ross) Boos Jr.

John had worked as a CNA at the Good Samaritan Society in Ellis and Redbud Village in Plainville and currently was working in the LaCrosse area doing lawn care. John was a fun-loving, good-natured person who truly enjoyed his family and friends. John was always the first to offer help to family and friends. He enjoyed dancing, cooking camping and fishing in his spare time.

He is survived by his parents, Barney, and Sheila Boos of Ellis; two brothers, William M. Boos and Bernard "BJ" Boos of Hays; a sister, Kristen Sloan and husband Joe of Hays; three nieces, Gracie, Ashlyn and Emily; a nephew, Layton and a special friend, Brian Linsner of LaCrosse.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Rosalie Ross and Bernard and Mary Boos.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, August 29, 2022 at St. Mary's Church, Ellis, Kansas. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Sunday August 28, 2022, with a Daughters of Isabella rosary at 6:30 PM followed by parish vigil service at 7:00 PM all at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine, Hays.

Monday visitation will be 9 AM until service time at St. Marys Church.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Marys School in Ellis.
