Obituary
Jean Roth age 89 died Monday, April 27, 2020, at her home in Victoria, Kansas. She was born March 1, 1931, in Sandy Lake, Manitoba, Canada to Prokop and Sophie (Shewchuk) Millenchuk. Jean married Bernard Everett Roth on November 15, 1958, at Holy Cross Greek Catholic Church in Sandy Lake, Manitoba. He preceded her in death on December 25, 2015
She grew up on a farm outside of Sandy Lake. Jean went to Mount Calm Grade School and attended high school in Sandy Lake and Neepawa, graduating from Neepawa. She attended Saint Boniface School of Nursing in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Jean was an LPN, surgical nurse, respiratory therapist and home health care nurse for over 50 years. She nursed in Glendive, MT where she met Bernie. After their marriage, they moved to Denver, CO, Sidney, NE, Vernal, UT, Casper, WY, Williston, ND. In 1990 when Bernie retired they moved to Victoria. She was a member of The Basilica of St. Fidelis and Daughters of Isabella both of Victoria. Jean will be missed by the countless people she cooked and cared for in the Victoria area.
Survivors are four sons: Tom Roth, Victoria, KS; Chris Roth and wife, Kara, Ft. Collins, CO; Joe Roth and wife, Christine, Russell, KS; John Roth and Annie Kepler, Casper, WY; one daughter, Margie Dreiling, Schoenchen, KS; one sister, Marika and husband, Jim McDonald, Calgary, Alberta, Canada; nine grandchildren, Ryan Roth and fianc, Paige Bailey; Nicholas Dreiling and fianc, Jenn Philip-Rome; Sara (Kyle) Zimmerman; Jacob Roth and Samuel Roth; Brock Spaulding (Karley); Madison Roth and Andrew Roth; Calum Kepler; and four great-granddaughters, Abigail Zimmerman and Ellie Zimmerman, Mindy Dreiling, Katherine Spaulding and one on the way.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband; one son-in-law, David Dreiling; three brothers, Steve Millenchuk, John Millenchuk, Paul Millenchuk; four sisters, Rose Lewandoski, Lena Norosky, Ann Soltys, Pearl Polson.
Due to the COVID-19 virus, a private family funeral mass will be held at a later date at The Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria, Kansas, and inurnment at St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria, Kansas.
The family suggests memorials to The Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria, Kansas. Services are entrusted to Clines-Keithley Mortuary, 412 Main Street, Victoria, Kansas 67671.
