Jared Lee Deutscher, 37, of Ellis passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026 in Ellis. He was born November 8, 1988, to Sid Deutscher and Peggy Herman. He attended schools in Fountain Hills Arizona through 5th grade. When the family returned to Ellis in 2001 Jared attended Washington Grade School and graduated from Ellis High School in 2007.
At the age of 18 he followed in his dad's footsteps and began a career in the Kansas oil fields. He worked for WW Drilling of WaKeeney for 14 years. Jared's favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing at the family pond, always in pursuit of the "big one." He was often seen riding in his truck with his beloved companions Sully and Rocky taking them on rides and runs. He also found enjoyment in music and the Kansas City Chiefs. He was always ready to lend a helping hand when the need arose. Jared especially loved spending time with his daughter. He felt so privileged to be a father to Hattee, who had such a unique personality he was so proud of and loved. He also took his uncle role very seriously and loved his niece and nephew so dearly.
He is survived by his mother, Peggy, his father, Sid (Jackie); daughter Hattee; sister, Bailey Dinkel (Deutscher); brother, Terry Gross; grandmothers Karen Deutscher and Joann Herman; aunts, Susan Bieker (Jerry) and Sylvia Deutscher; uncles, Randy (Debbie) Herman, and Sam Herman, nephew Sutton Dinkel and niece Jentry and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Gilbert Deutscher and Lawdy Herman.
Funeral services are 10:00 AM Saturday, May, 2, 2026 at Christ Lutheran Church in Ellis with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Ellis.
