Janis K. Havel Trober

Janis Kay Havel Trober, age 61, of Hays, Passed away Monday, March 8th at the Ellis Good Samaritan Center. She was born on May 2, 1948 in Atwood, Kansas to Hugo and Ruby (Rummel) Baumfalk. She married Leonard Havel in October of 1965. He preceded her in death in December of 1986. She married Odus Trober on July 31, 1987 in Hays, Kansas.Janis was a Respiratory Therapist at Hadley Hospital and then a Lab Technician at Oak Park Medical Clinic. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed doing Arts and Crafts.She is survived by her husband, Odus of Hays; a son, Corey Havel and wife Patti of Leavenworth; two daughters, Anngela Walker and husband Lance and children Harlie and Colt of Russell and Eden Trober also of Russell; a step son, Neal Trober and son Austin Trober of Russell; a step daughter, Linda O'Neal and husband Charlie of Hays and two sisters, Virginia Clermont of hays and Deloris Pettis of Colorado.Her first husband, Leonard Havel, her parents and a sister, Vonda Corder, preceded her in death.Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Brock's North Hill Chapel 2509 Vine in Hays. Burial will be at 2:30 P.M. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Atwood.Visitation will be Friday 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and Saturday 9:00 A.M. - service time all at the funeral home.Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or the American Stroke Association.
