Hildagarde Murray

Hildagarde (Urban) Murray, 101, Hays, formerly of Fayetteville, Ark.. Boise, Idaho, Temple, Texas, and Colorado Springs, died Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, at Hays Good Samaritan Center. She was born July 12, 1908, in Pfeifer to Jacob and Elizabeth (Jacobs) Urban. She married Garland (Boots) Murray on Jan. 15, 1952, in Berryville, Ark. He preceded her in death in 1978. She was a secretary for 25 years in Albuquerque, N.M. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Floris Urban, Russell; many nieces and nephews, along with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchilden. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, George, Steven, Paul, Simon and Jerome; and seven sisters, Barbara Linenberger, Apollina, Mary, Sophia, Mary Elizabeth Davis, Elizabeth Heronime and Katharyn. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601; burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pfeifer. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday, both at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Hays Good Samaritan Center or Hospice at Hays Medical Center in care of the funeral home.
