Brock's North Hill Chapel FAX 785-625-2622Obituary NoticeHarold Engel, age 74 of Colorado Springs formerly of Hays, died Wednesday, January 13th at Pike Peak Care Center in Colorado Springs. He was born on September 14, 1935 in Hays to Carl and Mary (Dreher) Engel.Harold graduated from St. Joseph Military Academy in 1953. He attended Fort Hays State University and Washburn University. His interests were business and photography.He is survived by two brothers, Ralph and Ernie Engel both of Hays and two sisters, Irene Houston of Fountain Valley, California and Norma Jean Munk of Salina.Harold was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Lorene Engel and Caroline Goetz. Funeral services will be 10:30 Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 2:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. and Monday 9:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. all at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays. A parish vigil service will be at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Pikes Peak Care Center in Colorado Springs who provided daily care for Harold. Contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home.
