Freda Henrickson

Freda Marie (King) Henrickson, 82, rural Ellis, died Monday, November 29, 2010, at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born August 28, 1928 to Chris and Anna King at the King Homestead, northeast of Ellis. She married Jakie Henrickson on May 23, 1950 in Ellis, Kansas. He preceded her in death on April 11, 1993. She was a lifelong resident of Ellis County. She enjoyed her family, sewing, baking and playing cards. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Ellis, Kansas.Survivors include a son, Lester and wife Susan of Ellis; two daughters, Mary Befort and husband Dale of Victoria, and Ann Miller and husband Tim of Collyer; grandchildren, Amadee Staab and husband Jayme, Brandon Befort, Jason, Jenna and Justin Henrickson, Chad Miller and wife Christine, and Eric Miller; two great-grandchildren, Brantlee and Kaymbree Staab; brothers, Robert King, Wichita, Marvin and Kenny King, Ellis; sisters, Carol Armbrister and Elaine King both of Ellis and an abundance of special nieces, nephews and other family and friends.She was preceded in death, by her husband Jakie, her parents, Chris and Anna King, a brother, Raymond King and a very special grandson, Lance Miller.Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 3rd at the Christ Lutheran Church, Ellis with Rev. Gary Lissy officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Ellis.Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. at Keithley Funeral Chapel, 400 E 17th, Ellis, Ks. On Friday visitation will be at the church from 1:00 P.M. - service time.A prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.Memorials may be made to the Christ Lutheran Church Ellis, KS, the Ellis Public Library or the memorial of your choice.
