Ervin Kuhn

Ervin F. Kuhn, age 75 of Hays, formerly of Ellis died Friday, April 24th at the Central Kansas Medical Center in Andover, Kansas. He was born on May 5, 1933 in Ellis, Kansas to Frank and Catherine (Boos) Kuhn. He married Donna Hays on June 14, 1960. Ervin graduated from Ellis High School in 1952. He was a US Navy Veteran serving from 1952 -1956. He was a retired Truck Driver for Koch Industries. His memberships included St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus both of Ellis and the Hays VFW. He is survived by his wife Donna of Hays, three daughters, Melissa Ledesma and husband David of Great Bend, Joleen Briggs and husband Jeff, LaVonne Giess and husband Dave all of Hays, two sisters, Edna Kuhn of Ellis and Irma Hood and husband Wayne of Estes Park, CO. a daughter-in-law, Debra Kuhn of Hays, eight grandchildren, Adam and Dava Ledesma of Great Bend, Kevin and Kyle Kuhn of Hays, Dylan Briggs of Lawrence, Shea Briggs of Hays, Ashley Briand and husband Scott of Hays, MaKenzie Giess of Hays, three great grandchildren, J.D., Emili and Amelia.He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Rick L. Kuhn and a sister, Heddie Kuhn.Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery with Military Honors by the Hays VFW. Visitation will be on Monday 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday 1:00 P.M. - 1:30 P.M. at Keithley Funeral Chapel, 400 E. 17th, Ellis.A parish vigil service will be at 7:00 P.M. Monday followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary service all at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis or St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hays and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
