Obituary



Donnie Gene Buttrell, age 73, of Ellis, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Hays Medical Center. He was born November 21, 1948 in Snyder, Texas to Clyde and Rosaline (Dozer) Buttrell.

Donnie had worked as a truck driver and enjoyed drag racing. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Donnie is survived by his wife, Karla; two sons, Dustin and Dakota Buttrell; two brothers, Larry Buttrell and Edwin Buttrell (Sherresa Dukes) of Hays.

Military services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at the Kansas State Veterans' Cemetery at WaKeeney. Services in care of Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 2509 Vine Street Hays, KS 67601.
