Dennis F. Dreiling age 88, of Victoria, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Ascension Via Christi-Saint Francis Hospital Wichita, Kansas.

Dennis was born August 20, 1937, in Hays, Kansas to Fred A. “Fritz” and Agrippina “Albina” (Dinkel) Dreiling. He married Barbara (Henderson) in 1960, at Winslow, Arizona. She preceded him in death in 1990.

He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force and retired in 1980, as a Senior Master Sergeant after serving 25 years. He was a member of The Basilica of Saint Fidelis, a lifetime member of The American Legion, Victoria V.F.W. Post #1751, and a Past Post Commander.

Dennis grew up in Hays and was a graduate of Hays High School. While living in Colorado he worked in parts and service for the RV business. He moved to Victoria in 2013, from Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was very active in the Victoria V.F.W., working in the Canteen for various functions, and served on the Honor Guard Detail Unit for a number of years. He enjoyed flower gardening, grilling, going to car racing, watching all sports events, and taking trips on his Honda motorcycle. Most of all he loved his family.

Dennis is survived by his children, Mike Dreiling and wife, Christine, Greenfield, IN; Tom Dreiling and wife, Regina, Colorado Springs, CO; Michelle Locklear and husband, Wade, Fortville, IN; Rich Dreiling and wife, Jessica, Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren, Trevor, Kyle, Emily, Riley, Andrew, Josh; his two great grandchildren; and his sister, Della Fields, Hays, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Albina Dreiling; his wife, Barbara; and his brother-in-law, Robert Fields.

A visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary Victoria, Kansas.

A Celebration of Life Vigil Service with Father Curtis Carlson O.F.M. Cap., officiating and V.F.W. Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary, Victoria, Kansas. Military Honors and flag presentation will be conducted by the Victoria V.F.W. Post # 1751.

A private graveside service and inurnment with Military Honors will be held at a later date at the Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs, Colorado where he will be placed next to the love of his life, Barbara.

The family suggests memorials to the Victoria V.F.W. Post #1751 in care of Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary, 412 Main Street, Victoria, Kansas 67671.
