Debra Oppliger

Debra Ann (Bieker) Oppliger, age 47, of Hays, passed away Sunday, August 15th at her home. She was born on July 5, 1963 in Hays to Ben and Dixie (Fuller) Bieker. She married Kelly Dean Oppliger on June 21, 1991 in Hays. Debra attended school in Ellis and received a Nursing degree from NCTC. She has been a LPN for over 20 years. She was most currently working at the Hays Good Samaritan Center. Debra enjoyed being a homemaker, gardening and yard work. Survivors include her husband, Kelly of the home; her mother, Dixie Bieker of Ellis; three daughters, Jessica Whittington, her husband Rodney and their children, Taylor and Hudson all of Lenexa, Kansas, Rachel Trendel and her children, Kylie, Andrew and Carter all of Hays and Kelli Oppliger of the home; two brothers, Mark Bieker of Hays and Ben Bieker and wife Pam of Ellis; a sister, Tammy Huff and husband Robert of Hays. She was preceded in death by her father, Ben Bieker and a brother, Thomas Bieker. Funeral Services will be at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 18th at Brock's North Hill Chapel 2509 Vine, Hays. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery in Ellis. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Hays Good Samaritan Center and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
