David Lee Weber, age 56 of Victoria Kansas passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Hays Medical Center. He was born November 30, 1969, in Hays Kansas to Herman V. “Verlee” and Karen (Ellis) Weber.
They didn't expect him to make it through the night let alone 56 years. He is a fighter. He fought long and hard for 3 weeks with pneumonia and MRSA. He graduated from Hays High School in 1991. He attended DSNWK until his dad passed away in 2005, and stayed home with mom until she passed in 2021, then his older sister took over his care until his death. He won over many hearts.
David participated in the Kansas Special Olympics where he earned many medals in basketball, track and field, and bowling. One of the favorite part of the Special Olympics was the banquet and the dance as he loved music.
His favorite holiday was Christmas; as he always wanted wrestling cd's and batteries for his radio. His hobbies were The WWE Wrestling Federation. His favorites were the Undertaker and Hulk Hogan, and loved getting the WWE Wrestling magazine each month. He loved music, he could be seen in the driveway rockin out and waving to everyone that drove by, and David went through many radios and earphones. He didn't know a stranger, and he was a happy go lucky kind of guy with that infectious smile and laughter. David loved his McDonalds cheese burgers, fries and his Pepsi. David enjoyed the tractor pulls and demolition Derby’s with his dad, brother, and nephew, Chris and his uncles.
He loved his beloved pet Mr. Max. Above all he loved the Jesus statue that his grandma Anita Weber gave him before she passed, he carried him everywhere around the house.
David is survived by his sister, Melinda (Weber) Rogers, Victoria, KS; and caregiver for the last 5 years; his brother, Jeffery Weber and significant other, Judy Link, Plainville KS; his nephew, Christopher and Rachel Rogers, Salt Lick, KY; his nieces, Danielle Rogers and Ryan Becker, Plainville, KS; Megan Rogers and Brennan Foster, Natoma, KS; his great nephew, Braylon Becker Plainville KS; his great nieces, Gracelynn Foster and Allie Foster, Natoma KS; his aunts, Donna Mickelson, WaKeeney, KS; Rosie Weber, Hays, KS; Charlotte Weber, Victoria, KS; Roben (Weber) and Bob Ratley, Hutchinson, KS; his uncle, Mitch and Darla Weber, Hays, KS; and many cousins.
