David Harris

David Wayne Harris, age 50, of Hays, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at his home. He was born on April 9, 1959 in Hoxie, Kansas to Clyde Hugh and Clarabell (Deibert) Harris. He graduated from Hoxie High School in 1976. David was associated with LINK of Hays and had worked in the restaurant business as a cook. He is survived by his mother, Clarabell Karns of Dodge City, two sisters, Sheryl Linden of Los Angeles and Sharon Schwarz of Freemont, NE., a step sister, Jennifer Cook of Buimley, MO. Two step brothers, Jim Karns Jr. of Dodge City and Jeff Karns of Crystal City, TX. David is also survived buy numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Clyde Harris and a stepfather, Jim Karns. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 30th at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays. Inurnment will be at a later date. Contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
