Clem Gaschler

Clemens "Clem" Gaschler, 89, Ellis, died Monday, July 12, 2010, at Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney. He was born May 11, 1921, in rural Trego County to Frank and Elizabeth (Augustine) Gaschler. He married Dorinda Wasinger on June 11, 1945, in Ness City. He was a farmer, stockman and musician. Survivors include his wife, of the home; seven sons, Leon, Hutchinson, Dean and wife, Linda, Kissimmee, Fla., Wayne and wife, Colleen, Garden City. Terry and wife, Pam, Hays, and Rick and wife, Kim, Keith and wife, Sheila, and Kent and wife, Dava, all of Ellis; two daughters, Sandy Taylor, Weatherford, Texas, and Brenda Radke and husband, Jon, Hays; a sister, Bertha Rodarmel, Pueblo, Colo.; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and five sisters. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis; burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Ellis. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church. A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorials are suggested to St. Mary Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
