Bridget Werth

Bridget Werth, age 94, of the Hays Good Samaritan Center and formally of Epworth Towers in Hays, Passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at the Hays Medical Center. She was born on October 7, 1914 in Liebenthal, Kansas to Adam and Emma (Breit) Jacobs. She married Julius J. Werth on May 15, 1934 at St. Anthony Church in Schoenchen. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Schoenchen Altar Society. Bridget is survived by two sons, Leland (Janice) Werth of Ellis and Leslie (Shirley) Werth of Schoenchen; five daughters, Joan (Leon) Werth of Great Bend, Norma Jean (Duane) Klaus of Hays, Emily (Daniel) Pfeifer of Hays, Clairella (Wayne) Jacobs of Pfeifer and Cynthia (Roger) Anschutz of Hays; 28 grandchildren, 71 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Julius J. Werth on September 30, 1985; four brothers; three sisters; a grandson, Curtis Klaus and a great grandson, Chance Pfeifer.Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Hays. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery in Schoenchen.Visitation will be Friday 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and Saturday 8:30 A.M. - 9:30 A.M. all at Brock's North Hill Chapel Funeral Home, 2509 Vine, Hays. There will be a Schoenchen Altar Society rosary at 6:00 P.M. on Friday followed by a parish vigil service at 6:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions are suggested to St. Anthony cemetery Fund, St. Joseph's Church or for Masses.
