Bonnie Dickinson, age 75, of Hays, Kansas. Bonnie passed away at Hays Medical Center on Thursday, July 30, 2026, surrounded by her family after 3 years of battling breast cancer.

She was the youngest of six children born to Charles and Florence (Hargesheimer) Sweeny in Westville, New Jersey. Bonnie Graduated from Glouster Catholic school in 1969. She married Gerard "Jerry" Dickinson on November 30, 1976.

Bonnie grew up in southern New Jersey where she married her husband Jerry. They moved to Colorado in 1978 where Jerry took on a new career opportunity. They began their family and had two daughters, Dawn and Kate. They spent much of their time spending time with friends and family that would come to visit.

Bonnie spent most of her young adult life being a mother and homemaker. She started working full time when their children were school age. She finally retired as an office manager for a local Re/Max office in Aurora, Colorado in 2010.

Bonnie always put her family first. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved to craft, spend nights on the porch and doing her scratchies. She loved to shop, go to craft shows and in her younger years she loved to travel.

She is survived by her children, Dawn Grezeszak and her husband Matthew, Hays, KS, Kate Schippers and partner, Ivan Robles, Hays, KS; her grandchildren, Madelynn Robinson, Castle Rock, CO; Cason Grezeszak, Lawrence, KS; Sera Schippers, Hays, KS and Declan Schippers, Hays, KS and several nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was proceeded in death by her parents, Charles and Florence Sweeny, father-in-law Gerorge Dickinson, mother-in-law Mary Dickinson, husband Jerry Dickinson, her siblings: Joan Umba, Jimmy Kikuchi, Regina Sweeny, Daniel Sweeny and Charles Sweeny Jr.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.

The family would like memorials made to the Foster Grandparent Program at Fort Hays State University.
