Arthur S. Hashenberger

Arthur S. Hashenberger, age 86, of Russell, Kansas passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at his home. He was born on February 25, 1940, in Hill City, Kansas to William and Metta (Dolson) Hashenberger. Arthur married Kathy (Karst) on March 28, 1968 in Hays, Kansas.

He worked in the oil fields for a number of years, and retired from King of the Road after 20 years. Arthur grew up in Hill City and Bogue where he attended school. He lived in Gorham before moving to Russell. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time in his workshop. Arthur was a veteran of the U S Army.

Arthur is survived by his wife, Kathy, of the home; his children, Randy Hashenberger, Russell, KS; Matthew Hashenberger and wife, Mya, Gonzales, LA; Toni Fair and husband, Bill, Killdeer, ND, his grandchildren, Courtney Lines; Taylor Fair; Masen Hashenberger; Marisa Hashenberger; his great grandchildren, Aiden Lines and Holly Lines.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Metta Hashenberger; his seven brothers; and his two sisters.

The family has chosen cremation, and a Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in The Cross Plains Cemetery in Southeastern Russell County Kansas.

Services are entrusted to Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays.
