Anthony Bernard Lang, age 82 of Lenora, Kansas died Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska. He was born January 24, 1926 in Victoria, Kansas to Bernard and Catherine (Dreiling) Lang. He married Eleanor Brungardt on May 27, 1947 at in Walker, Kansas. Anthony and Eleanor moved to their farmstead located in Lenora in October of 1948. He was a Farmer and Stockman and he was skilled in welding and woodworking. Anthony enjoyed playing cards, visiting with family and friends and he was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Norton, 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus in the New Amelo Council and a member of NRA. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor of Lenora, a son, Bernard Joseph Lang and wife Rosemary of Rapid City, S.D., a daughter, Sharon Zierlein and husband Lynn of Smith Center, a brother, Joseph Lang of Victoria, a sister, Theresa Dreiling and husband Pat of Victoria, six grandchildren, Aggie Schamberger and husband Ryan of Houston, Katie Lang of Rapid City, Bernard Lang Jr. and wife Kim of Whitewood, S.D., Lacie Doering and husband Hank of Andover, Gage Zierlein and wife Megan of Olathe and Steele Zierlein of Smith Center, three great grandchildren, Maxine and Vince Doering of Andover and Nikolena Lang of Whitewood, S.D. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Larry, Ray and Bennie who was a twin to Katie, three sisters, Mary Giebler, Germaine Gerstner and Katie Dealy. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday, January 26 at St. Fidelis Catholic Church in Victoria. Burial will be in the St. Fidelis cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 Sunday and 9:00 - 10:00 on Monday all at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine in Hays. A Parish Vigil Service will be at 6:00 Sunday followed by a Rosary service all at the funeral home. In Lieu of Flowers the family suggests memorials to St. Francis of Assisi Church in Norton or St. Fidelis Cemetery fund in Victoria.
