Rose Ann Sipes

Rose Ann (Werth) Sipes, age 75, of Ellis, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington. She was born May 3, 1937 in rural Schoenchen, Kansas to August and Dorothy (Werth) Werth. She graduated from Schoenchen High School in 1955.

Rose Ann works at Adronics of Hays as a assembly line worker. She was a loving and devoted grandmother. She enjoyed spending time at the farm especially during calving season. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellis.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Gunther and husband Paul of Sachse, TX; a brother, Gus Werth of Schoenchen; a sister, Freda Fisher of Ellis; four grandchildren; Augustus Kortemeier, Annie, Averie and Aubrie Gunther all of Sachse, TX. and her companion, Gene Mater of Olmitz, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael Sipes; a daughter, Deborah Schneider; a granddaughter, Alicia Schneider; a brother, Fred Werth and two sisters, Gladys Braun and Alice Werth.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Schoenchen. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery in Schoenchen.
