Pastor Norman D. Harmon age 70 of Ellis, Kansas formally of Indiana, was ushered into the presence of His Lord on Wed. June 13th 2012 at 5:50 AM at Hayes Medical Center in Hayes, Ks. He was born in
Terre Haute, Ind to the late Mr. & Mrs. Norman D. Harmon Sr. on Jan. 24th 1942. In Oct. 1965 he married Jane A. Miller who survives the home. Two sons were born to the Harmons. Richard W. Born in 1966 & Michael A. in 1970.
Bro. Harmon was pastoring the Ellis Baptist Church at the time of his death. He had also pastored churches in Indiana, Missouri & Kentucky. Prior to his entering the Ministry he worked for the Con-Rail Railroad in Avon, Indiana for 17 Years. Pastor Harmon enjoyed hunting, fishing & golf, but most of all was the sharing of the gospel of Christ with the lost.
Preceding Pastor Harmon in death were his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Norman D. Harmon Sr. two sisters Vicki Warweg & Susie Harmon one brother Joe Harmon and one Son Rick Harmon. S
urvivors included his wife Jane A. Harmon of the house, son Michael Allen & wife Patti, 4 grandchildren Christian, Ricky, Makiya Jane & Bradyn of Indiana. One brother Rod Harmon & wife Brenda also of Indiana.
Two half brothers David Harmon of Indiana & Bill Harmon from North Carolina, one niece & several nephews.
Memorial services were held Thursday June, 14th at 7:00 PM at the Ellis Baptist Church in Ellis, Kansas. with arrangements in care of Brock's North Hill Chapel 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601
Visitation, Funeral Services and burial will be held on Wed. June 20th at the Springer Voorhis Draper Funeral home in Monticello, Ind.
