Mary Ann Resley Walters, age 84, of Hays, passed away Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Wilson, KS. She was born on August 28, 1926 in Gorham, Kansas to Rudy and Inella (Schwartz) Windholz. She married Kenneth A. Resley Sr. in 1940 he preceded her in death in 1997. She married Francis "Red" Walters in 1999 he preceded her in death on April 7, 2011. Mary Ann owned and operated Mode-O-Day clothing store in Russell for twenty-five years. She was a member of St. Nicholas of Myra Church, Hays VFW Auxiliary and the Russell American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed many activities such as Bowling, Bingo, Fishing, Crafts, Crocheting and mostly she was a Superior Mother.She is survived by a son, Kenneth A Resley Jr. and wife Cindy of Wilson, KS; a daughter, Carol Collins of Overland Park, KS; four grandchildren, Shane Collins of Overland Park, Stephanie Bieker of Overland Park, Rachel Bieker of Salina and Raquel Canady of Starke, FL; five great grandchildren, Kylie Collins of Dodge City, Ryan Bieker of Salina, Kimberly Canady, Katlin Canady and Kelsie Canady all of Starke, FL. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lenora and Letha.Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday at St. Nicholas of Myra Church in Hays. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Gorham.Visitation will be Sunday 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and Monday 9:00 A.M. - 9:30 A.M. all at Brock's North Hill Chapel 2509 Vine Hays, KS. 67601.A Hays VFW Auxiliary Rosary will be at 6:00 P.M. followed by a parish wake service at 6:30 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home.Memorials are suggested to St. Nicholas of Myra Church.
