Lyle R. Timmons

Dr. Lyle R. Timmons, age 66, of Ellis, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Society, Ellis. He was born November 7, 1945 in Beloit, Kansas to Sherman and Esther (Jackson) Timmons. He was a graduate of Clyde High School in 1963 and of the Palmer Chiropractic College of Davenport, Iowa in 1968. He married Nancy Timmons on March 23, 1968 in Davenport, Iowa.

Lyle was a Chiropractor in Ellis for nearly forty years. He was a US Army veteran, a member of the Clifton, KS American Legion and a member of The church On The Rock in Hays.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Timmons of Ellis; three sons, Bruce Timmons and wife Dana of St. Francis, KS, Jeff Timmons and wife Deuandara of Lees Summit, MO and Joshua Timmons and wife Heidi of Olathe, KS. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Gregory Timmons of Hays, Brandon, Melissa, Ava and Alexandra Timmons of Lees Summit, MO, Tori and Adie Timmons of Olathe, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gregory Timmons and a brother, Lonnie Timmons.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday at Brocks North Hill Chapel 2509 Vine - Hays, KS. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Ellis with military honors by the Ellis VFW.

Visitation will be Wednesday 5 PM - 9 PM at Keithley Funeral Chapel 400 E. 17th Ellis, KS 67637 and Thursday 9:30 AM until service time at Brocks North Hill Chapel 2509 Vine - Hays, KS.
