Ludwina Haselhorst

Ludwina Haselhorst, age 92, of Hays passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Hays Medical Center. She was born April 10, 1921 in Liebenthal, Kansas to Michael and Magdalena (Herrman) Schaffer. She married Irvin A. Haselhorst on November 19, 1941 in Liebenthal. He preceded her in death on September 27, 1995.



She was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church , and Christian Mothers.



She is survived by three sons, Leon Haselhorst of Hays, Irvin E. Haselhorst and wife Gail of Munjor and Dale F. Haselhorst and wife Shelly of Hays; four daughters, Roberta Schuckman and husband Eddie of LaCrosse, Doris Zimmerman and husband Carl of Schoenchen, Donetta Lang and husband Don of Victoria and Deborah Hatfield of Hays; a daughter-in-law, Linda Campbell and husband Bob of Salina; two sisters, Frances Urban of Great Bend and Mary Schaffer of Wichita. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by a son Duane Haselhorst; a son-in-law, Glen Hatfield; three brothers, Vincent, Joe and Michael Schaffer and five sisters, Abbie Moeder, Bertha Moeder, Martina Werth, Monica Unrein and Anna Price.



Funeral services will be 10 AM Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow services in the church cemetery.



Visitation will be Sunday 4 PM - 8 PM and Monday 9 AM - 9:30 AM at Brock's Funeral Chapel 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.



A parish vigil service will be Sunday at 6:30 PM followed by a rosary service.
