Lois King

Lois Alberta King, 98, died March 15, 2012 at her home in Ellis KS. She was born July 26, 1913 to Albert and Inez (Falconberry) Martin on the family farm near Zurich KS. She married Fred J. (Fritz) King on January 19, 1932 in Russell KS. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2001. She was a homemaker.



She was a member Christ Lutheran Church, Women's Missionary Society, and Homemaker's Demonstration Unit. She was a CNA at Trego County Hospital and a Gray Lady at Ellis Good Samaritan. She enjoyed family, farm life, sewing, painting, gardening, cooking, fishing, traveling, singing, playing cards and helping others. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.



She is survived by daughter Karen Deutscher and husband Gilbert, Ellis; grandchildren Susan Bieker, Denver, Sylvia Deutscher, and Sid Deutscher, Ellis; great grandchildren Terry Gross, Riley Deutscher, Jared Deutscher and Bailey Deutscher, and nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruth Schoenthaler, Iona Haworth, Avis Martin, and Norma Reaves and a brother Curtis Martin.



Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Monday at Christ Lutheran Church in Ellis. Burial will follow services in Mt. Hope Cemetery.



Visitation will be Sunday 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. and Monday 9:30 A.M. - 10:15 A.M. all at Christ Lutheran Church in Ellis. A prayer service will be Sunday at 7:00 P.M. P.M. at the church. Arrangements in care of Keithley Funeral Chapel 400 E. 17th Ellis, KS. 67637.
